Blue Star Memorial

Several years ago, a Garden Club member found a Blue Star Memorial plaque along a hiking trail at North Point near the Van Buren State Park. The stone monument that went along with it was several hundred feet away in the woods.
Finally, all is in order; the monument has been restores and the plaque remounted. A new location has been found and has been landscaped.
On Spetember 19, 2009, a rededication will be held including veterans, service clubs, local and state dignitaries, with a reception and refreshments following the ceremony.

The Petunia Patch

In February of 2001 the first copy of the Club's newsletter rolled off the press. The objective is to provide news of regular meetings, special events, gardening reminders and helpful horticulture tips. The newsletter is published monthly and distributed to members.

In 2006 the Club had a "Reading Garden" landscaped at the South Haven memorial Library for the enjoyment of the library patrons and the community at large. In 2007, the club landscaped the south side of the library by adding a flagstone path and plantings.
